PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

April 11 2022 to April 17 2022

Monday April 11

Farming Humans

Some people think that we've misunderstood nature. That plants are farming humans (rather than the other way round); extracting carbon dioxide to feed us oxygen while they wait for our nutrients to return to the ground! Yikes! Although the Jupiter/Neptune convergence might over-stimulate our imagination, as Mercury leaves its Pluto connection behind and moves into Taurus, it feels good to focus on what's below the surface... rich, earthy and real. And like harvesting crops, good theories will produce a bountiful yield.

Tuesday April 12

Florence Nightingale

Jupiter and Neptune are converging in their shared Piscean home. Not since Florence Nightingale picked up her lamp have these two planets made such an inspired connection. Their healing, imaginative influence encourages compassion and wisdom and, like the scent of a delicious fragrance, the effects will continue long after their embrace is over. The important thing is to be open-minded, and to be ready to respond. When opportunity knocks, it might not be where we expect.

Wednesday April 13

Tin-Pan Alley

Classic songwriters generally fall into two groups: those who treat it like a job and spend their working day writing ditties in Tin-Pan Alley, and those whose writing process is sporadic, intense and dictated by their muse. Today, the Sun-Saturn link encourages a more serious work ethic. This might enable Jupiter and Neptune's visionary alliance to have a more defined presence in our lives. For anyone who struggles with too much structure the approaching Pink Full Moon brings more inspiration.

Thursday April 14

Nebra Sky Disc

I've just seen the 3,600-year-old Nebra Sky Disc at the British Museum's Stonehenge exhibition. The world's oldest portable star-map was used to align lunar and solar events. Back then, our intimate relationship with nature involved living harmoniously with the seasons. Stonehenge and the Nebra Disc display the arcane knowledge of the highest spiritual leaders. These days, the sky's secrets are much more accessible. The coming Pink Full Moon reveals that information is power.

Friday April 15

Good Friday

Good Friday is one of the holiest days in the Christian calendar. It's also a bank holiday in many parts of the world, making it extra good from my point of view! And, with Jupiter and Neptune's convergence still reverberating around the heavens, doing what feels right, emotionally and ethically is an important part of today's agenda. This weekend's Pink Full Moon insists that, far from being an unnecessary distraction, a heartfelt sense of idealism will underpin any of the actions we undertake.

Saturday April 16

Your Weekly Horoscope

More Sally Fisher Art here.

This weekend's Pink Full Moon has been named after blossoming flowers. So it's safe to ignore the Nick Drake lyric which claims, 'a Pink Full Moon gonna get you all!' Yet its arrival in the early hours of Easter Sunday reminds us that confronting hidden or unspoken realities is an unavoidable part of making progress. This is a week in which breakthroughs are possible. As Mercury (communication) and Uranus (innovation) combine, the road ahead isn't smooth... but brave, enlightened decisions will have surprisingly effective results.

Your Week Ahead Love Horoscope

Remember, your Love Forecast today does not just cover romance. A love forecast may also have something to say about your family life, your closest friendships and even some of your most important working relationships.
