PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

April 19 2021 to April 25 2021

Monday April 19

Fly Me to the Moon

Should JFK be credited with facilitating the Moon landings? Or was it the engineers at Nasa whose efforts made them possible? It's the age-old question of which matters most - the eyes on the prize or the nose to the grindstone. Today, we face the tantalising prospect of the best of both worlds. The Sun and Mercury's sparkly convergence, at the end of their stay in assertive Aries, is giving way to the grounded, productive power of Taurus. We may not reach the Moon tonight, but we can go far.

Who Dares Wins

Life can't be lived without risk. And what is risk exactly? It's accepting a chance of failure; realising that we can't know every factor at play, and knowing that every plan needs luck on its side. These concepts make us feel uncomfortable. We want to know we've done enough to ensure success. Yet, for something to count as an achievement, it must involve a challenge. Today, under the uneasy Jupiter/Pluto link, the greatest risk involves letting doubt take control. There's power in positivity.

The Joy of Shopping

More Sally Fisher Art here.

Are our arms tired from carrying heavy shopping bags? If so, we might be grateful for lighter purses! With many UK shops recently reopening, cash registers are ringing loudly. Yet finances have been tight for many under lockdown. So with Venus (creativity and money) recently ensconced in Taurus (resources and pleasure) we're not just encouraged to spend... we're reminded to appreciate what we've got. Mars' final days in Gemini suggest there are smarter ways to satisfy our desires.

Thursday April 22

Earth Day

More Sally Fisher Art here.

It's Earth Day, and very appropriately, Mars is on its way into Cancer. As the planet of energy and war enters the sign associated with nurture and protection we can expect to see increased action from 'Earth Warriors', as well as pushback from those who want to preserve the status quo. Amid these emotional extremes, with Venus soon converging with Uranus, it's important to think carefully about what we most value. A simple change of heart could be all that's needed in order to make tangible progress.

Friday April 23

World Book Day

'For stony limits cannot hold love out, And what love can do, that dares love attempt'. On World Book Day, this line from Romeo and Juliet beautifully illustrates how love overcomes barriers. And, this weekend, as Mercury and Venus converge around Uranus, while linked to Saturn, breakthroughs in communication become possible as the walls separating hearts and minds become malleable. Rather than ending in Shakespearean tragedy, we can find inspiring ways to celebrate what we love.

Saturday April 24

Your Weekly Horoscope

More Sally Fisher Art here.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's not easy to confuse a Supermoon with Superman, but I know which I'd rely on to ride to the rescue! The lingering Saturn/Uranus link reasserts itself as Mercury and Venus converge around Uranus, before the Sun takes their place as the Moon turns full. Phew! That's a lot of cosmic activity! It indicates that as we take responsibility and set boundaries we can make meaningful progress in our relationships. We won't need super-hearing to appreciate kindness this week.

Sunday April 25

Your Week Ahead - Love Focus
